How do I connect the external catheter to the Urinary Management System?

Connect the Surity Female External Catheter or Surity Male External Catheter by firmly inserting the catheter tubing into the suction tubing connector as deep as possible until a secure, leak-resistant fit is established.

How do I know the Urinary Management System is working correctly?

The Surity Urinary Management System is turned on when the Power button is lit. You can check for suction by holding a finger over the suction tube opening to feel if there is suction.

What do the indicator lights mean?

There are 4 types of light indicators on the system. The power plug indicator will light up when connected to a power source. The power indicator will light up when pressed and the system is turned on. The boost button indicator is the Boost function to increase suction for 90 seconds. The battery indicator has three LED lights. When the rechargeable battery is in use, the indicator will light up: three lights: fully charged, two lights: partially charged, one light: low charge, no lights: needs recharging.

Yes. The Surity™ Management System can operate continuously when the rechargeable battery has sufficient power or when connected to an electric outlet.

What happens if the collection canister becomes full?

Accepted Answer

The canister should be emptied when the liquid reaches approximately 2 liters. If liquid reaches the lid, suction will automatically stop completely to prevent overflow in the canister. Empty the canister and press the power button to start the suction again.

What should I do if suction seems weak?

Here are troubleshooting instructions to check if suction seems weak: Check that the collection canister is properly seated on the suction base. Check that the tubing and the lid are properly seated. Check the tubing for any blockage or flow restrictions such as kinked or pinched tubing. Check that the air outlet on the side of the suction base is not blocked. Check if the top ring on the underside of the lid is tilting down. When the canister is full (2.2 liters), the ring will tilt up and stop the suction. Check that the external catheter is not blocking suction by disconnecting it from the suction tubing. Place the open end of the suction tubing into a glass of water. If the water flows easily through the tubing into the collection canister, replace the external catheter.

How do I clean the Urinary Management System?

Daily Cleaning & Maintenance Note: Always wear gloves when cleaning Do not use a dishwasher to clean any system parts Avoid harsh or aggressive scrubbing Cleaning the canister, lid, elbow connector, and suction tubing Hold the canister with one hand and pull the tab on the lid with the other to remove the lid. Disconnect the elbow connector from the suction tubing. Rinse all parts with tap water, then clean using dish soap or an enzymatic cleaner. Use a soft bristle brush or sponge to gently clean all surfaces. Rinse all parts thoroughly. Do not allow parts to dry before rinsing. Inspect each part to ensure all debris has been removed. Repeat cleaning if needed. Dry all parts completely before reassembling. Cleaning the suction base, power adapter, and remote Use a damp, low-lint cloth with mild soap to wipe all surfaces. Gently clean all exterior areas. Dry thoroughly and inspect to make sure all debris has been removed.
